In 2003, Nantucket Off-Shore Seasonings launched a line of cocktail mixers to complement their Cocktail Rimmer Seasonings and the line exploded. To unlock its potential, the company decided to spin off their cocktail platform into a new identity: Stirrings Cocktails.
Introducing a new brand without losing existing loyal customers posed a unique design challenge. The team was tasked with retaining the compelling attributes of the product: simple lines, iconic bottle shape, clean, clear messaging, AND introduce Stirrings in a bold, memorable way. For this, they partnered with John Lineweaver, their creative partner for the Nantucket Offshore Seasonings.
Over many heated discussions, soul wrenching compromises – and cocktails – John and Stirrings created the brand look that exists today. It launched at the 2004 Fancy Food show and from all accounts never missed a beat. The retention of the label shape, copy emotion, and signature fonts retained the brand heritage, but the Stirrings logo, "tab" and clear new layout boldly and memorably imprinted Stirrings on the cocktail consciousness.
